Student Clubs

The Commercial Real Estate Network (CREN) is GW's very own undergraduate student organization created specifically for students interested in the real estate industry. CREN members can participate in events such as resume workshops, professional development opportunities, panels with successful alumni and industry professionals, on-site tours of real estate developments in the DMV area, and many more opportunities. Students interested are welcome to follow CREN on Instagram, join via GW's Engage platform, and access sign-up links to events via Linktree.

"GW's real estate program provided countless opportunities to learn from world-class professors and real-world professionals within the CRE industry. The classes available through the real estate program challenged and expanded my knowledge to help prepare my peers and myself for real-world situations and career development. GWU's commercial real estate network was exceedingly valuable to my experience as a student and within the early stages of my career. I am beyond grateful to all the professors, advisors, mentors, and fellow students for the opportunity to grow throughout the RE program and land a job at a top commercial real estate company. GWU's real estate program nourishes students inside and outside the classroom and continues to supplement growth opportunities far after graduation."

Real Estate & Finance Alliance (REFA)
Mentorship Program

The Real Estate and Finance Alliance (REFA) Mentorship Program offers GW students a unique edge in pursuing careers on Wall Street and in real estate. By combining the expertise of GW faculty, resources from the F. David Fowler Career Center, insights from the Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis, and a robust alumni network, REFA creates a powerful launchpad for ambitious students.

At its core, REFA is all about mentorship. The program prepares students for competitive interviews, connects them with successful alumni mentors, and opens doors to industry-leading companies where our graduates thrive.

REFA offers two specialized tracks: Finance and Real Estate. Each track has its own GPA requirements and application process, but they're open to sophomores from every GW school. As students progress to their junior and senior years, they have the opportunity to become mentors themselves, guiding the next generation of REFA participants.

Interested in giving your career a boost? Look out for applications early in the fall semester of your sophomore year, and choose the track that best fits your professional goals.
