Shea Byers

As CEO, Mr. Byers is responsible for corporate strategy and business expansion of J Street’s property management and real estate development initiatives throughout Texas, Washington, D.C., and the Southwest US.
After beginning his career as a Financial Analyst at Electronic Data Systems in 1997, Mr. Byers transitioned quickly towards his professional passion, real estate.  In 2000, Mr. Byers joined Kamco Property Company, a DFW based multifamily owner/operator, as a Senior Financial Analyst and eventually CFO to lead acquisitions and finance.
In 2010, Mr. Byers moved to Washington, DC and started at J Street Companies as Vice President of office leasing (2010 – 2014).  Mr. Byers served in a similar capacity at PMRG Dallas (2014 - 2018).  Mr. Byers rejoined J Street as Director of Real Estate in 2018 to lead the Texas regional office in pursuing walkable multifamily and mixed-use developments.
 In addition to his role at J Street, Mr. Byers is actively involved with George Washington University’s Center for Commercial Real Estate and Urban Analysis, working directly with the chair of GW’s real estate department to bring forward DFW’s first ever regional infrastructure study centered around uncovering the existing and emerging walkable nodes, known as Walkups.
