Michael L. Edelman

Michael is a seasoned CRE finance executive with over 25 years of mortgage banking experience, and has been involved in more than $6B of transactions throughout his career. He joined M&T in 2016, and was recently promoted to President. In this role Michael is responsible for external customer and capital relationships and growing the FHA and the Life Co-Placement platforms. Previously, he served as the Agency Program Manager and lead the organization’s relationships with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Prior to M&T Realty Capital Michael spent many years at Beech Street Capital/Capital One Multifamily and Freddie Mac. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from George Washington University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Pace University. He resides in Brooklyn, NY.
