Brad M. Jacobs is a principal in the firm’s Real Estate Law and Transactions Practice Group, focusing on real estate law. Over the course of any given year, he manages hundreds of transactions involving the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate, as well as lending and other secured financing transactions. He also has substantial experience with 1031 exchange transactions and leasing and subleasing of commercial office space. Brad also serves as counsel to sponsors and holders of unsold shares. In addition, in tandem with the trust and estate department, he handles estate sales and advises clients regularly on a wide range of tax and estate planning techniques in connection with acquisitions and sales.
Brad is a frequent lecturer on a wide range of topics on real estate issues. He is a certified continuing education instructor for brokers and is regularly invited to speak at title insurance companies and real estate brokerage firms. He is a faculty member of the New York Institute for Continuing Education, where he has lectured on real estate and trust and estate issues. Brad is also active with the George Washington University Center for Real Estate Studies, where he has participated as a speaker in numerous webinars discussing New York City real estate.
